Millerstown, PA, is hosting two outdoor events this summer. The Flea and Craft Market will be held August 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and a Sportsman’s Expo and Gun Show is scheduled for September 14, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Millerstown is 33 miles west of Harrisburg.
The Flea and Craft Market is being held at the new Millerstown Area Community Park, 110 West Juniata Parkway, beside the Millerstown Community Swimming Pool. Vendors of all types of goods, including new and used merchandise, antiques, collectibles, crafts and produce, are being sought for over 100 available spaces. No reservations are required and a $10 set up fee will be charged for the day. Vendors can arrive after 5:30 a.m. All spaces allow vendors to park their vehicles on the space and sell from their trailers, trucks or cars. Ample parking for shoppers and restroom facilities are available. The rain date is August 24.
Millerstown is also the site of the first annual Outdoor Sportsman’s Expo and Gun Show, which will include a swap meet. It also will be held at the Millerstown Area Community Park, 110 West Juniata Parkway. Event promoters are seeking vendors of goods with an outdoor and sportsman’s theme, including guns, ammo, hunting, fishing, archery, trapping, camping/RV, artists, taxidermists, outdoor photography, boating, ATV and wildlife. Spaces are available under tents for $25 each and outdoor spaces are $15 each. Pre-Registration is required. Organizations and businesses are also being asked to present free educational seminars throughout the day.
All proceeds from the Sportsman’s Expo will to used to continue to develop and maintain the 44-acre park along the Juniata River. Admission to the Sportsman’s Expo will be $5 per person, with children 10 years old and under and U.S. military service personnel admitted free. Many events are being held in conjunction with the show, including a statewide bow fish tournament and a National Wildlife Turkey Federation non-sanctioned open turkey call competition.
